WASHINGTON (AP) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Saturday that it is recalling approximately 4.9 million pounds of frozen boneless chicken products sold by Hormel Foods to restaurants and cafeterias.
Customers reported metals found in chicken breast and thigh products. Hormel concluded the metal came from a conveyor belt used during manufacturing, according to the Food Safety Administration. There are no reports of illness or injury.
