Bogota, Colombia – BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) — Colombia Sen. Miguel Uribe Turbey was filmed in June at a campaign rally in Bogota and remains hospitalized, experiencing bleeding in the nervous system, and is once again in danger, authorities said.
The Fundación Santa Fe clinic, which is treating him, said Uribetter Bay needed “urgent neurosurgical procedures” to stabilize him and he was placed under deep sedation to help him recover.
Uribetter Bay was shot three times in his head twice while giving a campaign speech at the park on June 7th. Since then, he has remained in the intensive care unit in a serious condition with episodes of slight improvement.
Two months after the attack, his wife, Maria Claudia Tarazona, posted the following message on Instagram: “My sweet love, I miss you.
Six people have been charged for the attack, and minor cooperation in the investigation fled the detention centre.
Among those arrested are Christian Camilo Gonzalez Aldira, of the alias “El Costenho.” He believes the authorities are the attack planner, organizer, and organizer, as key to helping investigators track their masterminds.
