Five things we learned from the look of taylor swift's

Taylor Swift is entering her latest era, and she shares all the details with Swift in her nearly two-hour appearance on the New Heights Podcast with her boyfriend Travis Kels and his brother Jason Kelsse.

The episode's teaser revealed that the 35-year-old pop star was talking about her new album, “Life of a Showgirl.”

“This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” Swift said, holding up a blurry vinyl.

    “TS 12,” Travis cheered.

Swift released the album's cover after the episode aired on YouTube. Throughout the episode, Swift has been hit with subjects like his relationship with Travis, owning an entire music catalogue, and of course a new album.

With a full-length podcast, or a new height (Taylor's version), now released, there's everything you need to know about Swift's look and the new album.

Showgirl Life was created during the ERAS Tour

In the full episode, Swift told the Kelse brothers that she was working on the album in Europe while she was on the ERAS tour.

“How she did this on tour still blows my mind,” Travis said.

The cruel summer singer said she just “loves music.”

“I'm going to take three shows in a row and take three days off. I was physically exhausted at this point on the tour, like I'm flying to Sweden and going back to tour and actually working on this, but I was mentally inspired and very excited to create,” Swift added.

Travis said his girlfriend “literally leads a showgirl life.”

Then she read the tracklist. The entire album was completed in Sweden, with producers Max Martin and Shelbach complete.

“Want to see the back cover? The back cover is where I find the 12 tracks from my 12th album,” Swift said.

“This is a record I've been wanting to make for a very long time,” added Swift.

She also noted that the new album was “what happened behind the scenes during this tour, which is very enthusiastic, electrical and lively.”

As for Showgirl's life, Swift wanted to make sure that his new album had “a very contagious melody and you're almost mad.”

She also wanted to create lyrics that were “same but crisp, concentrated, completely intentional.”

When asked about the album's sparkly orange colour, Swift said, “Vergorously, how my life felt.”

Swift mentioned leaving the exit through the orange door on the final day of the ERAS tour. This was a subliminal hint that I might leave my ERAS tour era,” she said. “But I was entering a new era too.”

It was the Easter eggs of a showgirl's life.

“I go down the elevator lift every night and leave the stage. That's how the shows of all eras ended. With this, except for the last one, I started to go through the door and specifically leave the orange door. It was actually an Easter egg.

Swift said Swifties was “pretty happy” to notice Easter eggs.

“I was like, 'I trained them well,'” she added.

Earlier in the episode, Swift also talked about how she approaches Easter eggs for her fans.

“The art of Easter eggs means there's DO and DOS, right? “Is it always heading towards music? … What I came up with, the plans I came with. What I don't know is saying for certain reasons you'll hear later.

Swift added that she is attracted to numerology and loves “mathematics stuff” and dating.

She even shared that she has a special numerical connection with her boyfriend, Travis. His soccer jersey number is 87. Swift says her favorite number is 13, and 87 plus 13 is 100, a “number of certain importance.”

Swift's mom and brother helped her buy back her master

Swift discussed regaining control over her entire work. It was announced in May that the pop star had purchased a catalog of recordings originally released through large machine records from its latest owner, private equity company Shamrock Capital. She did not disclose the amount.

Travis said that Swift “reclaiming” master recordings was “one of my favorites this summer.”

“I signed a record deal when I was 15, but I got my music back this summer so please see it. “Traditionally, many record deals are set up in a way that artists don't own what they call master recording. Owning a master recording means you have complete control over the distribution, license, and essentially your legacy formed.”

She said she was a teenager and was saving money to buy back her music.

To get her music rights, Swift said she would send her mother and siblings to Los Angeles to discuss getting a music catalog with Shamrock Capital.

“They sat down with Shamrock Capital and told them what this meant to me,” she said. “They told them the whole story of all the time we tried to buy it.

Swift revealed that he was told he had obtained a master recording a few months after the Super Bowl.

“I got a call from my mother and she's like, 'You got your music,'” Swift said as she got emotional. “It's been literally a very long time since this happened. Every time I talk about it… I just like hitting the floor very dramatically for the real thing. Honestly, I started to shake my eyes.

Travis said Swift began crying when he received the news.

“You were crying,” Swift told Travis.

How Travis and Swift got together

When Swift was discussing the ERAS tour, Travis described it as a catalyst for his interest in Swift.

Swift said Travis tried to meet her at a July 2023 ERAS Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

She joked that he “threw a man's tantrum” when he couldn't give her the friendship bracelet he had for her.

“This guy didn't say hello to meet and he's making it a problem for everyone. That's the first thing I thought,” Swift shared.

However, Swift went on to say that Travis declared he was interested in dating her on a podcast.

“It was a wild, romantic gesture that made me feel like, 'I want to date you',” she said.

“That's what it does when you're on stage and you play on Arrowhead. That's what it did to me,” added Travis. “You can come to Arrowhead and I can meet you, that's the perk of playing for the Chiefs.”

Swift said Travis was planning to meet her during the concert that night.

“I realized he didn't even reach out to our management team. When this podcast came out, I said, “Did he get out of a tent or did you know he was in the building?” Swift said. “He came with Pat (Patrick Mahomes) and thought he could tell her about getting off to my dressing room because he knows the woman in the elevator.”

The two-week singer went on to say he declared on a podcast that he wanted to date her.

Travis went on to tell Swift, “Please meet me once and give me a chance.”

“If this guy isn't crazy, this is like something I've written since I was a teenager that I want to happen to me,” Swift said.

    She's “obsessed” by the NFL

The Love Story singer also revealed that she is currently “obsessed” with the NFL.

She said when she first began dating Travis, it was lost when it became a soccer term.

“I didn't know what the first down was. I didn't know what the chain was. I didn't know what the tight end was. …Oh my god, I was hooked on it. “I became the one who was running through the hall of the house screaming. My friend said, 'Who snatched you?'

Swift also said her relationship with the previous sport was when she sang the national anthem in the game.

“My relationship with sports was like growing up in Pennsylvania. I always heard my dad scream on the screen watching the Eagles games. It was always the sound of sports I heard at my house,” she said. “But I was in my room, playing guitar, learning instruments, playing piano. I was focused on a variety of things. I was focused on music and lasers.

“I go to sporting events so I can sing the national anthem. Everything was a means of an end to get me to do music. I know all the halftime shows from the Super Bowl, but I didn't watch sports.”

Swift also joked about his complaints about having screen time when he joined Travis' games over the past two seasons.

“There are a lot of male sports fans listening to podcasts, but if there's one thing male sports fans want to see on their space or on screen, that's me,” Swift said with a smile.
