Actor James McAvoy was reportedly punched at a bar in Toronto on Monday evening.
The Scottish actor and director, first reported by People Magazine, appears to have been hit and unprovoked by a patron in Charlotte's room on King Street West in the downtown area, far from where the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is being held.
Splitstar attended the premiere of his directorial debut, California Simin, on Saturday with his wife Lisa Liberati.

McAvoy, 46, reportedly had several quiet drinks with the producer when the incident happened.
Toronto police confirmed to Global News that no reports were filed, and people said McAvoy just laughed at the incident.
