TORONTO – Baseball fans can watch the Toronto Blue Jays game on Friday night at Canadian regular broadcast home.
SportsNet, the club's Canadian rights holder, said Thursday it signed a deal with Apple TV to simultaneously compete in a road game with the Kansas City Royals on Rogers's airwaves.
The game was originally set to air only on Apple TV+. At the time of the contract, the Blue Jays could potentially clinch the playoff spot for the series opener.
However, Toronto made a 4-0 decision to the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday afternoon, with the Cleveland Guardians beating the Detroit Tigers 3-1. Toronto's magic numbers for clinching the postseason berth remained three, leaving Saturday as the team's earliest clinch date.
