    The Canadian food testing agency warns consumers from multiple provinces that two brands of frozen pastries have been recalled due to concerns about Salmonella.

    Federal authorities say the sweet cream brand and D. Efe T. Apollini Mignon, Mini Lobster Tail, Apollo K2, Big Lobster Tail, Sfogliana Poly, Big Sfogliana Poly, Mini Sfogliatella and Mini sflogliatella cioccolatoies.

    The recalls have been issued in Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Quebec, but the CFIA warns that the recalled product may have been distributed to other provinces and territories.

    According to the CFIA, the product may be sold in packages used by unlabeled store clerks or in small packages, or in packages that do not have the same brand or product name.

    Foods contaminated with salmonella may not look or smell, but they can still get sick. The CFIA says young children, pregnant people, elderly people, and people with weakened immune systems can contract a serious or fatal infection.

    Symptoms in Salmonella include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea.
