The closing filing is underway at the trial of two people accused of murder in the shooting death of a state police officer more than two years ago.

Randall Mackenzie and Brandi Stewart Sparee were each charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 28-year-old officer.

Both the accused pleaded not guilty.
The Crown says Mackenzie is the archer and is trying to prove that Stewart Sparee purposefully helped him.
The trial is taking place in Cayuga, Ontario, a community near Hagersville, and ju judge deliberations are expected to begin later this week.
