Update: Chris Brown was denied bail in the UK after being arrested in 2023 on suspicion of bottle attack at a London nightclub. According to multiple sources, Brown will be in custody until June 13th, the date of his next hearing.
He is charged with intent and serious physical harm.
Original Story: Singer Chris Brown was arrested in the UK on Thursday after allegedly assaulting someone with a bottle at a London nightclub in 2023.
Metropolitan police did not name Brown, but said the 36-year-old man was taken into custody at a Manchester hotel on suspicion of causing severe physical harm. Under British law, police cannot name suspects before charges are filed.

The Sun, who first reported the story, said producer Abe Deer told them that he was hospitalized after Brown defeated him in a nonprovocative attack at a tape nightclub in London's swanky Mayfair district in February 2023.

The tabloid said they found Brown in the UK on Wednesday and called police to find out if he had been arrested. The newspaper said that Met policemen traveled to Manchester and arrested them.
Brown's representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the Associated Press.
Diaw said Brown, who was on a tour of the UK at the time, cracked his head with a bottle and punched him to the floor and kicked him. The producer filed a $16 million lawsuit against the singer.
Brown was often called by his nickname by brezy and exploded into the music scene as a teenager in 2005, becoming a major hitmaker for many years with notable songs such as Run it, Kiss Kiss, Without You. He won his first Grammy Award for Best R&B Album in Fame in 2011, then won the second gold trophy in the same category at 11:11 (Deluxe) earlier this year.
The singer will begin an international tour with artists Jhene Aiko, Summer Walker and Bryson Tiller next month, opening on European feet before the North American show begins in July.
