A judge in the Harvey Weinstein sex crime case declared misunderstanding on the remaining rape charges after the ju judge said he would not continue deliberation.
The deliberations ended on Thursday. The day after the ju judge handed out a partial verdict in Weinstein's sexual crime retrial, he convicted the former studio boss of one of the top accusations, but he acquitted another. Both of these accusations relate to accusations that forced a woman to have oral sex in 2006. These verdicts are still standing.
The judges were stuck on a third charge, including accusations from Jessica Mann. The hairstylist and actor testified for days about the rape she said she endured in a Manhattan hotel room, as she did in 2020, and why she later met in an agreement with Weinstein.
Mann is ready to go to his third trial, said Manhattan prosecutor Nicole Brunberg after the judge concluded deliberations. No new trial dates have been set yet.
The foreperson said on Wednesday that he felt bullied by another ju umpire and would not return to the ju umpire room on Thursday.
“No, sorry,” he said when asked.
The seven women and five male ju umpire reached a unanimous decision on other charges last Friday, the foreperson told the judge. The verdict took place Wednesday as Judge Curtis Farber asked if there was an agreement on any of the charges.

The third accusation came against rape accusations, including a woman who said she had an agreed relationship with the Oscar-winning producer. Under New York state law, third-degree rape fees are penalized less than the other two counts.
Weinstein denies all fees. In an unusual exchange with the judge in several legal debates before the partial verdict was disclosed on Wednesday, he argued that it would be unfair to continue the trial after the two ju judges moved forward with concern about the case.
“I can't judge this situation,” said Weinstein, 73, who said the judge was “in danger.”
Tensions at the Ju Courtroom began to take in public views on Friday. The ju apprentice asked the ju apprentice to make an excuse because they felt that another person was being treated unfairly. Then on Monday, the foreperson accused other ju-seekers of urging people to change their minds and talk about information beyond the charges.

The man raised concerns again on Wednesday. During a closing door discussion with prosecutors, defense attorneys and judges, the foreperson said that another ju-degree judge had yelled at him for sticking to his opinion, and at one point he vowed, “You'll go outside to see me.”

Five years ago, Weinstein's first belief seemed to solidify the downfall of one of Hollywood's most powerful men at a pivotal moment for the #MeToo movement against sexual misconduct.
However, the conviction was overturned last year, and the case was sent back for retrial in the same Manhattan court.
Weinstein's accuser said he would misuse Tinseltown's influence to hang career help and get them on his own before forcing them into sexual encounters.
His defense portrayed his accuser on Hollywood wannabe and hangers.
Weinstein's convicted producer and production assistant Miriam Haley has been convicted twice for sexual assault, saying the new sentence “gives hope for me.”
Accuser Kaja Sokora called it a “big victory for everyone” despite Weinstein being acquitted for forcing her to do oral sex while being a 19-year-old fashion model. Her allegations were added to the case after a retrial was ordered.
Weinstein was also convicted of raping another woman in California. He appeals to that confidence.
The Associated Press generally does not name people who say they have been sexually assaulted unless they agree to be identified. Haley, Mann and Sokora did.
