Vienna – A small plane that took off from nearby Germany crashed in the Austrian Alps on Saturday, with all four on board, authorities said.
The propeller plane crashed near Wald im Pinzgau in Salzburg at 12:45pm local time, and it was clearly in flames. Police said three men and women were killed and they were believed to be German, Austrian news agency reported.
The plane had taken off for a round-trip flight from the Oberschleisheim airfield near Munich.
There was no immediate information about the cause of the crash.
