Mickey Rourke plans to take legal action against Celebrity Big Brother UK following his emissions from the Hit Reality series.
The Oscar-nominated actor agreed to leave the show on Saturday, April 12th after the producers warned about inappropriate behaviour and offensive language on set.
Now, 72, Rourke appears to be pursuing legal action on alleged pay disputes after his exit. According to the actor, the show “expended a big payday on him.” He only spent seven days attending the show.
In a statement to the people, Rourke's manager, Kimberly Hines, spoke about the actor's early departure, claiming that celebrity Big Brother UK had downplayed Rourke by “publicly embarrassing him.”
“Big Brother is currently refusing to pay Mickey his entirely agreed fees. His legal team is currently pursuing the issue,” Hines said. “Using his name and image in this way is an insult to a true cinema icon after a long, accomplished career. It ignores his legacy and crosses the basic line of respect, both within the industry and at the individual level.”
“When my brother booked Mickey Rourke, there's no doubt they were fully aware of his public persona and how it coincided with his Hollywood rebel image,” Hines said.
Hines argued that the reality show “fostered his provocative character, which has already been well documented in the press and has become even more obvious since the show aired.”
“During our discussion, Big Brother was fully aware of Mickey Rourke's background and lifestyle,” continued Hines' statement. “But instead of dealing with it professionally, they took it too far — publicly shame him and use his removal as a marketing tool. It's not just an expert. It's very rude and damaging.”

“Are you watching me?” Rourke asked Hughes on a pirate-themed challenge after some houseguests suggested there was a rat between the crew.
“Don't make me an eyeball, don't make me an eyeball,” Rourke told Hughes as the other houseguests separated the pair.
Following the disagreement between Rourke and Hughes, a celebrity Big Brother UK spokesman said the actor's language was deemed “threatening and offensive” and no physical altercation occurred.
“Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the celebrity Big Brother home tonight following a discussion with Big Brother about further use of inappropriate language and cases of unacceptable behavior,” a celebrity Big Brother UK spokesman told the BBC.
Big Brother then announced that Rourke was leaving the house.

A few days before he left home, Rourke received the first warning from the production after directing several homophobic comments against fellow housemate JoJo Siwa, 21.
