Snowfall warnings were issued on Easter Sunday for parts of southern and central Alberta, with up to 10 centimeters likely to fall into some areas by Sunday night.
“Heavy snow begins tonight in Alberta Foot Hills,” Environment and Climate Change Canada has been posted on its website. “As temperature drops tonight, the rain will turn into snow overnight.
“The snow is heavy and wet at least at first. Tonight, up to 10 cm could exceed 10 cm on Monday.”
The weather agency warned that despite forecasts there was still “uncertainty” in the weather system, but that “norwest Calgary is increasingly confident that it will receive a significant amount of snow.”
