Coldplay frontman Chris Martin made clear what he made earlier this week about Rodgers Stadium in Toronto.
Martin issued the clarification on Friday for the third of four concerts at the newly constructed stadium on the city's outskirts.
When he first got on stage on Monday, Martin thanked the crowd for getting to “this strange stadium” with all “traffic and travel and trains, waiting.”
But now, Martin said he “never criticized” the stadium and intended to thank the fans for trekking to the previous Downsview Airport land.
“I have never criticized this stadium, beautifully built to play, and I don't think I'll say anything at all,” Martin told the crowd on Friday.
“I'm so grateful that you have somewhere where we can hang out with you guys,” he added.

Concert participants complained that there was inadequate crowd control at the 50,000-capacity stadium when it first opened last month, but even after Coldplay's first show it was a hassle to leave the venue.
