Dolly Parton postponed its first residency in Las Vegas in 32 years due to “health challenges.”
The 79-year-old country music icon announced the news in an Instagram post on September 28th, telling fans, “Unfortunately, I want them to hear directly from me that they need to postpone future Las Vegas concerts.
“As many people know, I've dealt with some health challenges, and my doctor says I need some steps. When I joked with them, it's not a normal trip to meet my plastic surgeon, but it has to be my 100,000 miles of examination time!” she wrote.
“Seriously, with this in mind, I can't rehearse and put together the shows you want to see and the shows you want to see.
Parton said he could still work on all the projects from Nashville, but he would need “just a little time to prepare the show, as they say.”
She assured the fans, “Don't squish me,” as God still said nothing about stopping.
“But I believe he's telling me to slow down now so I can be prepared for a bigger adventure with you,” she added. “I love you and thank you for understanding.”
Parton is scheduled to perform six shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas” between December 4th and December 13th, overlapping with the National Final Rodeo. Her date has been moved to the second half of next year – September 2026.
Tickets are valid on new dates and a Parton statement was added when a refund is available.

Earlier this month, Parton was unable to attend the announcement of a new ride at the Tennessee theme park Dollywood due to health issues.
“It turns out I have a kidney stone that's causing a lot of problems and gave me an infection, and the doctor said, 'I don't have to travel right now, so I'll need a few days to get better,'” Parton said in a video release at the time.

“So he suggested I wouldn't go to Dollywood today, but I'm mentally there with you. I was pushing it so far,” she added.
