Ezra Miller “remorrows” past actions and tips for returning to Hollywood – National

Actor Ezra Miller has revealed that after several years of leaving Hollywood, there is “many regrets” in their past actions.

Miller's career has derailed with the subject of many allegations, including assault and grooming, after they were at the heart of several criminal cases.

The Flash star, non-binary and using their pronouns, addressed past controversies in an interview with Italian outlet Lo Speciale Giornale, following the arrival of the first major red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival since leaving the entertainment industry.

“When you work in this industry, you're in a deep relationship with many people who don't give you a single F about you or your happiness,” Miller said.

“I'm not without a lot of regret and grief about so much of what I did and the many things that happened at the time, but I'm really grateful for the lessons that come with that deep by.

“When we experience those melting pots, if we can survive – if we were floating in the air for me, if I'm real, we have that ability to see other people on their crosses and just reach them.

“It's becoming increasingly rare in our world as well. We have the ability to do that, the desire to do that, the willingness to do that.

“We were very consumed with the concept of perception, self-awareness, how we are perceived in the world. I dig it in the past and believe in being friends with people. And those who did it for me have my lifelong dedication.”

Miller said he attended the Cannes Film Festival at the request of director Lynn Ramsay. Lynn Ramsay was called “one of the best living filmmakers” and shared that they were working on a new film together.

“I'm working with her again. That's the first thing I do. It's the film she and I write together,” they said. “And she asked me to come, so I came to Cannes. And if there's anything in my life I really believe in it, it's a dedication to my people, to my loved ones… Above all.”

Miller said his current relationship with the film industry lies for “tentative reasons.”

“If you've been in the woods for three years, I wouldn't recommend going straight to Cannes. Every photographer and every weirdo, every rich genocide freak (Will) will be there, do you know what I mean?” Miller said. “That's not an easy re-entry.”

In 2022, Miller was arrested twice in Hawaii for disorderly conduct and harassment at a karaoke bar when the actor grabbed the microphone from a singing woman and rushed towards a man playing darts. They were later arrested again on suspicion of assault that allegedly thrown a chair at a woman, leaving a half inch of gouache on her forehead.

Prior to these two incidents, Miller was the source of at least 10 police calls in Hawaii, asking people to film at gas stations and discuss with people in public, among other things.

They were also charged with a Vermont felony robbery after police said they had stole some alcohol from an empty residence.

In June 2022, the Massachusetts mother was given a temporary protective order after a judge determined at Miller's hands that she was facing “the substantial possibility of immediate danger of harassment.”

Also, reports have revealed that Miller houses his mother and three children on a Vermont farmhouse and is wary of the child's father who claimed guns and marijuana are easily accessible at the facility.

The father claimed he contacted the department for his children and families in Vermont to perform wellness checks on the children. The mother argued that Miller helped her escape the abusive situation with her, and that the farm was a “healing shelter” for the family.

Miller previously received treatment for “complex mental health issues” in August 2022, apologising for their behavior and acknowledging their unstable behavior.

They said the period of crisis has encouraged their recent action and that they are seeking mental health treatment.

“I have been experiencing a period of intense crisis recently, and I understand that I am suffering from complex mental health issues and are beginning continuous treatment,” Miller explained.

“I want to be vigilant about my past actions and apologize to everyone for being upset. I am committed to doing the work I need to return to the healthy, safe and productive stages of my life.”
