Foo Fighters to perform in Edmonton, Regina, Toronto, Vancouver in 2026

Foo Fighters are planning a short tour next summer, with four of the 12 dates in Canada.

The rock band announced Thursday its Take Cover Tour 2026, which kicks off next August in Ontario with Queens of the Stone Age as opening act.

The first show is scheduled for August 4, 2026 at Rogers Stadium in Toronto.

The tour then heads west to Mosaic Stadium in Saskatchewan for their first concert in eight years.

Foo Fighters will perform at Regina Stadium on September 15th. The stadium last held a concert in 2019, when Garth Brooks performed twice.

The Regina Exhibition Association, which manages the stadium, has struggled to attract events, contributing to its financial woes.

The tour will then move to Alberta, with the band hitting the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on September 17, 2026.

The band teased the Edmonton stop on Instagram the day before the concert announcement, posting a video to their Stories of them flying over the iconic Edmonton Stadium, which has yellow and green seats.

“We are thrilled to host the Foo Fighters at Commonwealth Stadium, the largest venue of its kind in Canada,” said Commonwealth Stadium Director Heather Setter.

“Events like this draw people from across the city, province and beyond and highlight Edmonton's welcoming spirit.”

Foo Fighters have performed in Edmonton several times, including performances at Rogers Place in 2018 and Rexall Place in 2015.

For the final Canadian leg of the tour, the band will take over Vancouver's BC Place on September 20th.

The band will also play eight shows south of the border in Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Nashville, Washington, D.C., Fargo and Las Vegas.

This will be the band's first North American tour since longtime Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins passed away in 2022.

Hawkins joined Dave Grohl's group in 1997 after original drummer William Goldsmith left, making him one of the band's longest-serving members at the time, aged 28.

This was the second time Grohl has experienced the death of a close bandmate. Grohl was Nirvana's drummer when Kurt Cobain died in 1994.

In August, Nine Inch Nails drummer Ilan Rubin joined the Foo Fighters and released a new single, “Aking for a Friend,'' to coincide with the tour announcement.

Current band members are Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee, and Ilan Rubin.

General sale tickets for all performances will go on sale to the general public at Ticketmaster on Friday, October 31st at 10am local time.

Tickets are expected to range from $59.50 to $299.50 (tax and service charge not included).

Fans can sign up for the band's pre-sale from now until Sunday, October 26th at 11:59pm PT.
