Hundreds of US generals and admirals gathered at the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, Virginia on Tuesday after being summoned from their posts around the world.
Defense Secretary Pete Heggs has notified military leaders of 10 new directives the department will implement. The order includes new standards for physical fitness, grooming and return to the “highest male standard” for combat positions. President Donald Trump also spoke to the general.
