Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry made their relationship official on Instagram over the weekend after the pop star shared a series of photos and videos from her recent trip to Japan.
Perry's post confirms her romance with the former Canadian prime minister, a month after they were photographed leaving a Paris cabaret hand in hand.
The pair were first spotted dining together at Le Violon, a high-end restaurant in Montreal's Le Plateau district, in July, but photos of them taking selfies, eating sushi and admiring museum exhibits were shared with Perry's 202 million followers on Instagram.
The black-and-white video shows Perry trying Uni for the first time as Trudeau, seated next to him, invites Perry to take a bite.
The Firework singer captioned the post, “Tour in Tokyo and more.” This came after Prime Minister Trudeau re-shared a photo of the couple posing with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife Yuko.
“Nice to meet you @kishida230. Katie and I were so happy to have the opportunity to sit down with you and Yuko. Mr. Fumio, thank you for your friendship and continued commitment to both the international rules-based order and a better future for everyone,” Trudeau wrote.

Neither Mr. Perry nor Mr. Trudeau have commented publicly on their relationship. Still, the Instagram post followed months of speculation about the singer and the former Liberal Party leader.

Prime Minister Trudeau attended her concert just days after they were spotted dining in Montreal. A video from the show shows the former prime minister singing along as Perry performs his song “Dark Horse.”
Mr. Perry and Mr. Trudeau's first public appearance came about two years after Mr. Trudeau and his ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, split and about a month after Mr. Perry announced that he had ended his engagement to actor Orlando Bloom after nearly 10 years.
Prime Minister Trudeau and his ex-wife have three children: Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrian, 11.
Perry and Bloom have a 5-year-old daughter, Daisy.
