Kevin Spacey will face another court battle in London next year over civil sexual assault charges, three years after being cleared of criminal charges.
BBC News reports that three people are suing the 66-year-old actor in a civil suit at London's High Court over links to his time as artistic director of the Old Vic.
The three allege they were assaulted by the House of Cards cast between 2000 and 2013. At Wednesday's hearing, the judge indicated a tentative trial date of October 12, 2026, but it has not yet been determined whether the motion will be heard in one trial or in three consecutive trials.
Spacey has denied all allegations of wrongdoing. According to the BBC, he has formally denied two of the claims, but has not yet submitted his argument to the court on the third.
The American Beauty actor, who did not attend Wednesday's hearing, was acquitted in 2023 of criminal sexual charges brought against him by four men after a trial in London.
Two of the plaintiffs in the new civil suit were involved in the earlier case.

According to court documents seen by the BBC, a man known as LNP alleges that Spacey “deliberately assaulted him approximately 12 times between 2000 and 2005.”

Another plaintiff, known as GHI, said he met Spacey through a workshop at London's Old Vic theater and claims he has “suffered psychological damage and financial loss” as a result of the alleged assault in 2008. GHI originally sued Spacey in 2022, but the case was put on hold after Spacey was charged with criminal charges.
One of the plaintiffs, actor Ruari Cannon, who is not involved in the 2023 lawsuit, is also suing the Old Vic.
Cannon, who waived her right to anonymity, claims Spacey groped her in 2013 at a party after the press night for Tennessee Williams' play Sweet Bird of Youth.
Attorney Elizabeth-Ann Gumbel, who is representing the three men, has suggested the case be heard in one trial to avoid having the men and Spacey give evidence multiple times.
Earlier this month, Spacey made headlines when he revealed in an interview with the Telegraph that his legal troubles have effectively left him “homeless.”
“The costs over the last seven years have been astronomical,” Spacey said. “There was very little going in and everything going out.”
“I'll get through it, right? In a weird way, I feel like I'm back where I started. I mean, I'm just back where the work was. Everything is in storage. If things continue to improve, I think at some point I'll be able to decide where to settle down again,” he continued.
“I live in hotels, I live in Airbnbs, I go where the work is. I literally don't have a home. That's what I'm trying to explain,” he added.

After the interview was published, Spacey took to Instagram to address “rumors” regarding his current living situation.
On Sunday, Spacey said, “Normally it's not my job to correct the media.”
“If I did, I wouldn't have much time for anything else. In light of recent articles alleging that I am homeless, I feel the need to respond,” he continued. “Not to the press, but to the thousands of people who have offered me a place to stay or just asked if I'm OK over the last few days.”
“And to all of you, let me just say I'm truly touched by your generosity, all the way through,” he said. “But I think it would be disingenuous for you to believe that I am truly homeless in the colloquial sense.”
Spacey clarified that he is not one of the “many people out there who are actually living on the streets or in their cars or in dire financial situations.”
“And my heart goes out to them,” he added. “But it's clear from the article itself that I'm not one of them, and I wasn't trying to say that I was one of them.”
