Pamela said her son was “an exceptional husband, father, son – a man who is deeply in love with life, his wife and his daughter.”
“He was not only my son, but my teacher, coach, confidant, business partner and best friend. He was the son that his father was extremely proud and loved,” she added.
She said Malcolm “loves the magic of being an actor and constantly studies and hones his skills.”
“He began his musical journey a little after his life, but at age 26 he was a great bassist and formed the length of his own band, Miles,” she wrote.
“A poet and musician, he released four albums, two Grammy nominations and one Grammy Award. At age 8, after his final stage performance, he declared that being on stage was something he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
