Meghan Markle is returning to the big screen in a role in the upcoming film Close Personal Friends.
Variety magazine reported that Markle, who starred in “Suits” for seven seasons, will appear in a small cameo as herself in the series.
Close Personal Friends, a comedy starring Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, Brie Larson and Henry Golding, is currently filming around Los Angeles. Other cast members include Natasia Demetriou, Patti Harrison, and Dustin Demry-Byrne.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, was photographed wearing sunglasses as she climbed into the back seat of a Range Rover on a movie set in Pasadena, California.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film “centers on a couple who meet and bond with a celebrity couple during a trip to Santa Barbara, where personal lines are crossed and awkward hilarity ensues.”
Before marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Markle starred in the legal drama series Suits, playing the role of Rachel Zane from 2011 to 2018. Other film roles include “Get Him to the Greece,'' “Remember Me,'' and “Horror Bosses.''

The collaboration also produced the documentary series Polo, Heart of Invictus, and Live to Read.
The couple and the streaming service also announced upcoming collaborations, including a second season of the lifestyle and cooking show “With Love, Meghan,” starring Markle. The show will also air a special holiday episode in December.
Archewell Productions will also work with Netflix on a feature film adaptation of Carly Fortune's novel “Meet Me at the Lake,'' which the company says is “a 10-year love story that begins with a chance encounter and a broken promise.”
Popular Canadian author Fortune previously said the book's love story was “near to my heart,” adding that she couldn't imagine a “more perfect partnership.”
She also said that writing the book was a “very personal challenge” and that it was truly incredible to see it recognized in this way.
