Health Canada is recalling a brand of home rowing machines due to a fire hazard, it announced in a recall notice Wednesday.
This recall pertains to NordicTrack rowing machines with model numbers NTRW19147.0, NTRW19147.1, NTRW19147.2, and NTRW19147.3.
Health Canada warns of fire hazards associated with machinery.
The main problem is with the screen console, which can overheat and catch fire, creating a fire hazard.

The company announced that it has sold 700 rowing machines in Canada. The affected products were sold from November 2018 to April 2022.
As of November 5, 2025, the company has not received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
“In the United States, the company has received eight reports of incidents, including two reports of fire and six reports of smoke or melting. No injuries have been reported,” the recall notice states.

Users are asked to immediately stop using recalled rowing machines and unplug them. You must contact iFit, the manufacturer of your machine, for a free home repair with screen console replacement by a certified technician.
To find out if your product is affected by the recall, you can check the model number on the decal on your rower base.
According to Health Canada, the recalled rowing machines are black, gray and white with “NordicTrack” printed in black letters on the front legs of the machines. “RW900” is printed in white on the hind legs.
