Conservative leader Pierre Poilierve says Canadians, including British Colombians, want a new oil pipeline and cannot allow Prime Minister David Ebby to block the project.
Poilievre says he can't wait for a full agreement on the idea and calls it a “basic fact” that a new pipeline is needed.
Eby has repeatedly stated that there is no point in discussing or supporting the pipeline being pushed by Alberta Prime Minister Daniel Smith and others until there are proponents of such projects.
Speaking in Calgary, Poirierbre says it's a “chicken and egg problem.” Because the reason they have no supporters is because government support was insufficient.

Ebby was unable to contact us immediately due to comments on Poirierbre's remarks.
Poilievre said that he has nothing to Eby, but “one guy can't block the project.”

“Some people don't think Elvis is dead. Even the basic fact that a pipeline is needed can't make everyone agree with the basic facts, so it's going to require national leadership,” he said.
At a press conference, Poilierbre announced that the opposition Conservative Party would introduce a parliamentary bill called the Canadian Sovereignty Act.
