The King and Queen celebrated the 80th anniversary of VJ Day, leading a two-minute silence in the service of Staffordshire.
Among the attendees were veterans, some of whom participated in the ceremony by laying out wreaths and reading.
Win VJ Day or Japan Day and is marked every August 15th. This was the day Japan surrendered to the Allied forces in 1945 and World War II ended.
