Sudan's civil war, two years later

Sudan's civil war, two years later

Tuesday marks the second year since violent clashes broke out between Sudanese forces and paramilitary swift supporters, sparking a civil war that led to the world's worst humanitarian crisis. The conflict killed around 150,000 people, drove at least 12 million people, and brought hunger to Sudan. But even if aid organizations describe the crisis as one of the “industrial proportions,” it is largely hidden by other conflicts at the global stage.

With the so-called forgotten war in its third year and no clear ending is in sight, we wanted to feature reports and essays from different voices, from US Congressmen to directors of Sudan's think tanks.
