The 22-year-old man suspected of shooting death of American Idol and her husband's longtime music director at her Los Angeles home was charged with two counts of murder on Thursday.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Robin Kay and her husband Thomas Deluca, who had been involved with the show for over a decade, were found dead at their Encino home on Monday.
Police were conducting welfare checks at home when they found the body with a gunshot wound. Both were declared dead at the scene.
Encino resident Raymond Boodarian was arrested Tuesday afternoon, police said. Investigators believe he was robbing the residence on July 10th while the couple were separated and shot them when they suddenly returned.

Boudarian is facing charges that include two counts of murder and one count of first-degree robbery, Associate District Attorney Hilary Williams said.
If convicted, Boudarians face the biggest life sentence in prison without the possibility of parole. His arrest was scheduled for August 20th.
“Suddenly the couple returned from the grocery store and were killed in their own home without any sense of killing,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said in a statement.
Hochman said the tragic shooting “shakes the valley community and the notion that homes should be our safe sanctuary.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are directed at their family and friends who are grieving this huge loss,” Hochman added.

A statement from American Idol was released after Kay and Delca's deaths.
“We are devastated to hear Robin and her beloved husband, Toms, pass by,” the statement said. “Robin has been the cornerstone of the idol family since 2009 and has been truly loved and respected by everyone who has come into contact with her. Robin will stay in our hearts forever and share deep sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.”
A veteran in the industry, Kaye also worked in the music departments of several other productions, including The Singing Bee, Hollywood Game Night, Lip Sync Battle, and pageants for Miss USA and Miss Usiverse.
The incident is under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department. Boudarians are restrained without the possibility of bonding.
