Taylor Swift, engaged as pop star, Travis Kelse reveals his first glimpse of the ring – National

It's a love story: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelse are married.

The couple announced their engagement in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are married,” the couple wrote in a slideshow post shared on both accounts. This also includes a photo of the engagement ring.

The photo slideshow was set for So High School, one of Swift's songs from her album The Tortured Poets Department. The song describes the emotions and journeys of high school crashes, referring to teenage memories such as spinning truth, courage and bottles, spinning bottles, watching videos, and watching American Pie on Saturday nights.

In the second photo, the couple touches their foreheads and hugs each other.

In the third photo, Swift and Kelce hold hands, showing some sparkles.

Swift's fingers can be seen with a sparkling diamond ring. According to Us Weekly, the ring is a gorgeous cut from an old mine designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.

Estate Diamond Jewelry's Benjamin Coldipour told the wedding site's bride that the Swift ring is “handmade in 18k yellow gold, and the center diamond has needle point prongs that perfectly match the antique style.”

“We estimate the price of her ring at $550,000,” says Khordipour.

The Swift features an appearance wearing a Cartier watch with a golden strap and a rectangular white dial. This style complements her ring.

The next photo from the slideshow is the couple hugging, and Kelse returns to camera. Swift's right hand monitors the new engagement ring and full display, resting gently behind Kelse's head.

The final photo of the slideshow is of a couple sitting on a bench under an arch filled with trellis flowers. Swift has his head on Kelse's shoulder, kneeling and lifting his legs. She wears brown sandals and Kelce wears white shorts.

Kelse is the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs who won the Super Bowl.

Swift is a 14-time Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and celebrity who began his famous romance in 2023.

Fans and friends of the couple quickly congratulated Swift and Kelce after news that their engagement had spread.

Kelse's longtime Kansas City Chiefs teammate, Patrick Mahomes, has reposted the couple's announcement on Instagram stories with three heart emojis.

“Two of the most authentic people meet and fall in love,” Mahomes' wife Brittany wrote in her Instagram story, sharing the engagement announcement.

Swift recently shared details about the beginning of his relationship with Kelce in a nearly two-hour appearance on The New Heights Podcast.

When Swift was discussing the ERAS tour, Kelce described it as a catalyst for his interest in Swift.

Swift said he tried to meet Kelce at an ERAS Tour concert held at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri in July 2023.

She joked that he “threw a man's tantrum” when he couldn't give her the friendship bracelet he had for her.

“This guy couldn't get a meetup and greenery. He makes that a problem for everyone. That's the first thing I thought,” Swift shared.

However, Swift said that Kelse declared that he had been interested in dating her on a podcast.

“It was a wild, romantic gesture that made me feel like, 'I want to date you',” she said.

“That's what it does when you're on stage and you play on Arrowhead. That's what I did,” Kelse added. “You can come to Arrowhead and I can meet you, that's the perk of playing for the Chiefs.”

Swift said Kelse was planning to meet her during the concert that night.

“I realized he didn't even reach out to our management team. When this podcast came out, I said, “Did he get out of a tent or did you know he was in the building?” Swift said. “He came with Pat (Patrick Mahomes) and thought he could tell her about getting off to my dressing room because he knows the woman in the elevator.”

The two-week singer said that Kelse “feeled like she felt like she was in a John Hughes movie in the 80s, and he said, “I want to date you! I want to date you? I made a friendship bracelet! Do you want to date me?”

Kelse went on to tell Swift, “Please meet me once and give me a chance.”

“If this guy isn't crazy, this is like something I've written since I was a teenager that I want to happen to me,” Swift said.

Swift is about to release her next album, “Life of A Showgirl.” This will be released on October 3rd. She covered 149 cities around the world and generated more than $2 billion in revenue to Vancouver in December 2024.
