The disassembled body found in the trapped Tesla trunk registered in Singer D4VD last week has been identified as a missing 15-year-old girl.
Police officers at the Los Angeles Police Station (LAPD) found the human body stuffed inside a bag in a Tesla trunk after responding to a report of a foul smell in a Hollywood tow on September 8th.
According to NBC Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Examination Office has identified the body as Celesteri Bas Hernandez, who was reported to have gone missing in April last year.
Hernandez's identity was confirmed through forensic medicine. The cause and time of her death has not yet been determined.
“At this point, LAPD does not have a crime classification from the coroner regarding modes and death methods. Therefore, there is no suspicious information at this time,” LAPD said in a statement to the outlet.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Hernandez was “a boy reportedly missing from Lake Elsinore” in 2024.

“The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident as a murder and will be contacting you with more details about the investigation,” the Riverside County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
Tesla was originally locked up after being parked on Hollywood Hills Street for more than 72 hours. Neighbors told CBS News that Tesla had been abandoned for several weeks.

“It just smelled like sewage,” a Hollywood resident told the outlet. “I think the community knew something was wrong and reported that the car was abandoned.”
Authorities said the body was found in Tesla's front trunk, and the vehicle was registered with a D4VD in Hempstead, Texas.
Burke was on the North American feet of his international tour at the time of his body discovery.
“D4VD is informed of what happened. And although he is still on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities,” the singer's representative said in a statement.

According to CBS News, authorities were working to identify the body and detected information about the appropriate index finger tattoo that read “Shhh.”
Burke, 20, has a tattoo on his right index finger, which fits the tattoo that a medical inspector found in Hernandez.
The D4VD will be performing on Made's stage on Pier 57's YouTube in New York City on September 18th, 2024.

Burke works with authorities, but was dropped by Crocs and Hollister from his latest marketing campaign a few days after he announced him as the face of his “Dream Drop” collaboration.
All of Burke's promotional images were drawn from the company's website and social media pages.
“We know this developing story,” the company told Footwear News in a joint statement. “We have removed campaign content featuring D4VD while the investigation continues regarding the current situation.”
