Anil Agarwal, founder and chairman of Vedanta Resources Limited, has announced the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in everyday operations.
Announcing in a post on X (officially Twitter), Agarwal said, “Intelligent workers with a strong grasp of AI are like skilled jockeys with powerful, intelligent horses. I fully welcome AI to the office and operations. That's not a struggle here.
Emphasizing that the AI market has already exceeded $250 billion in 2025, Vedanta's chief wrote:
At the confluence of AI and industry, we see real change, from exploration and production to medical technology, treatment of all diseases, to real-time research and data prediction. It's all at our fingertips. ”
Driving into the issue of employment impact, Agarwal explained, “What should I do?” It will always be our job as human beings. For technology. ”
The Vedanta chair recently said that young Indian entrepreneurs and investors have “great opportunities” in the copper sector, calling it a “new super metal” that will promote the future of technology and infrastructure.
His comments come even in the global pivot to copper as the biggest companies compete to add red metal to their portfolios in anticipation of a looming shortage.
In X's post, Agarwal wrote: “Barrick Gold, the world's second largest gold producer, will rebrand solely on Barrick because it looks at the future of copper.”
“Copper is a new super metal and is frequently used in all advanced technologies, including EVS, renewable energy infrastructure, AI, and defense equipment.
