Who says goodbye once more, but first, the band is embarking on another tour.
The British rock band announced the news of their final tour entitled “The Song Is Over Tour” on May 8, calling it the “glowing six-year career grand finale.”
“The dream of every musician in the early '60s was to make it bigger on the US charts. For anyone, that dream came true in 1967 and our lives changed forever,” lead singer Roger Daltrey said in a statement.
“The warmth of American audiences over the years inspired me and reflects the feeling I gained after hearing the first rock record I came across on the radio: Freedom of Music!
“For me, America has always been great. Cultural differences have had a big impact on me. This was a possible land.
“Thank you for being there for us and I look forward to seeing you in the end,” Daltree added.
Guitarist Pete Townsend said, “All good things have to end.”
